Our Opera Pop Group, which consists of three outstanding voices, performs opera, pop, techno, and world music with classical high notes while showcasing their own styles and vocal talent. The word "oearia" refers to the moment that steals the show in an opera, but the "n" stands for "the north" because our Pop Opera Group is proudly Canadian.
The pop opera ensemble was founded in the Fall of 2010 with professional opera singer Katya at the helm. It didn't take long for 1 to become 3 after the inclusion of fellow opera singers Anna and Erin. They have since made a name for themselves as one of the most intriguing opera pop crossover bands to emerge from the music industry. Their following is rapidly expanding, and they recently reached the top spot on the Canadian and global Reverbnation Classical charts.
Their most recent trip to Cannes, France, to perform at MIDEM, an international music and technology conference, was made possible by their recent success. Naria has also been hired to perform as the main act at a number of corporate events, including those for General Motors in Toronto, KIA in Vancouver, Canada, and Alcon Canada in Cancun, Mexico, to mention a few. Additionally, they organised a special event Christmas concert in December 2011 in Toronto's Glenn Gould Studio, which was attended by 350 people.
