Jess Robinson is an actor, comedian, impressionist, singer, and voiceover artist who has won four awards in total. She can perform solo or with a live band, and thanks to her incredible talent, she can captivate audiences with her flawless musical impersonations of a wide range of well-known vocalists, like Adele, Shirley Bassey, Julie Andrews, and Cheryl Cole.
Jess has made appearances on radio, TV, and stages. She performed live on The One Show in 2015 alongside Alex Jones to display her impersonation. Her one-woman comic show, Mighty Voice, which was nominated for a Chortle Comedy Award in the Best Music and Variety category, was produced by her and performed at the Edinburgh Festival in 2014.
She received several ITV accolades, including the 2015 Amused Moose Peoples Champion Award, the 2015 Mervyn Stutter Award for Pick of the Fringe, and the 2015–2016 Arts Award Voice Award for Pick of the Fringe. In 2017, she also attended the live performances of Britain's Got Talent.
In addition, Jess is a wonderful awards and event host who enlivens every occasion by bringing something unique and distinctive to corporate audiences.
Her television credits include the satirical puppet show Newzoids on ITV, the brand-new comedy Murder in Successville on BBC3, and Rory Bremner's Election Report on BBC2. She has also appeared in the BBC's The Impressions Show and Dead Ringers. The Now Show, Fifteen Minute Musicals, Secret World, I've Never Seen Star Wars, The Castle, and Newsjack are just a few of the radio sitcoms she has recorded for Radio 4. Several of the excellent Doctor Who audio episodes feature Jess.
Horrible Histories, a popular CBBC programme, with Jess doing the voiceover. She has provided voiceover work for numerous characters on a variety of US and UK animated series, such as Nickelodeon's Lucky Fred, Cbeebies' Kate and Mim Mim, and Dreamworks' Noddy. Additionally, her voice can be heard in a number of commercials on BBC4, Cartoon Network, The Disney Channel, and other channels. She has also provided voices for many video games, including Anno 104, Risen, Book of Unwritten Tales, and Randy.
She began her career in theatre, and she continues to perform in plays and musicals. Her first performance was as Martine opposite Joan Collins in Full Circle during a national tour of a French farce. She then appeared in Never Mind the Botox (with Phil Jupitus and Issy Sutti), Ophelia in Hamlet! The Musical, and The Queen Of Hearts (Alice in Wonderland) at The Lyric Hammersmith, among other roles.
